High Reliability in Action: LEAPS Challenge – Call for Submissions

The High Reliability in Action: LEAPS Challenge is now open to all ACHE Navy

members. This challenge provides an opportunity to showcase the meaningful work

being done across Navy Medicine to improve patient safety, operational performance,

and organizational effectiveness through the application of High Reliability principles.

As the healthcare environment continues to evolve, so does the way we communicate

innovation and impact. This year, the competition transitions from traditional poster

submissions to a more concise, high-impact format designed for clarity and rapid

understanding by senior leaders and stakeholders.

Submission Requirements

  1. A 1-page executive summary outlining the problem, intervention, measurable impact, and key takeaways.

  2. A 1-page infographic that visually communicates the initiative and its results.

This updated format emphasizes the ability to clearly articulate real-world improvements and share best practices across the enterprise.

Resources Available

  1. A 1-page Executive Summary Template to guide structure and content

  2. A Grading Rubric outlining evaluation criteria aligned to High Reliability

    principles

These resources are designed to ensure consistency, clarity, and fairness across all

submissions while helping participants effectively communicate their work.

  • Digital health and data-driven solutions

No Infographic template – this is all you!

High Reliability is achieved through disciplined action, continuous learning, and a
