This guidance outlines the submission criteria and deadline for the 2025 American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) Navy Regent Awards.
Background: The Lewis E. Angelo Professional Symposium (LEAPS) presents three Navy Regent Awards during the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) Congress on Healthcare Leadership. The ACHE Navy Regent Award categories are Senior Level Career Healthcare Executive (O-5 and above), Early Career Healthcare Executive (O-4 and below), and Enlisted Healthcare Executive (E4 – E9). Each award category honors individuals who have distinguished themselves in performance, management, and leadership through innovation, excellence, and creativity that goes above and beyond the call of duty to noticeably impact the command system, Budget Submitting Offices (BSO), professional, or service levels.
Action: Nominations must be submitted using the embedded Healthcare Executive Award templates. All nominees require an endorsement from a supervisor within their chain of command. All nomination packages should be combined into a single .pdf document.
Navy Regent Enlisted Healthcare Executive Award
Recognizes an enlisted healthcare professional for outstanding leadership and impact within Navy Medicine.
Eligibility: Must be a current member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE).
Recognition Period: Contributions must reflect achievements within the past year
Early Careerist Healthcare Executive Award
Honors a healthcare leader who has made significant contributions early in their career.
Eligibility: Must be a current member or Fellow of ACHE.
Recognition Period: Contributions must reflect impact and leadership within the past year.
Senior-Level Healthcare Executive Award
Celebrates a senior executive who has demonstrated sustained excellence in healthcare leadership.
Eligibility: Must be a Fellow of ACHE and hold an executive-level healthcare position.
Criteria: Consideration will be given to:
Contributions to the development of future healthcare leaders
Civic and community engagement
Membership in civilian healthcare associations
Academic involvement or college-level contributions
Recognition Period: Minimum of three consecutive years of impactful contributions.
